4moms Moxi Stroller
I have had the privilege of working on many projects while at 4moms. One of my most notable projects has been in the development of the 4moms Moxi stroller, from initial concept to manufacture.
I have developed and implemented ANSYS simulations and product testing based on DFMEA and user feedback to comply with international safety standards and minimize risk factor. I Identified fatigue failure point on the product line and created ANSYS simulations to quantify and illustrate the problem area. 4moms used these results to guide a high-level engineering internal task force.
I developed my plastic designs with injection molding and easy assembly in mind, and collaborated with Chinese manufacturers to optimize injection molding and assembly processes. The design of my plastic components has also been a highly collaborative experience with industrial designers to develop mechanical systems in harmony with aesthetic and structural forms.
Some of my designs include latching mechanisms, internal rotary joints, and a custom injection-moldable gear box system for electrical generator, optimized to provide maximum electrical output and withstand the life of the product. The Moxi Stroller will be available for sale in the fall of 2016.
